    Hello,

Does Hive work across multiple servers? I currently have two different hosting accounts on different servers and I was wondering if they could be tied together. Thanks.

No, sorry, it's not intended to work this way.

However, I would suspect that like Wordpress, Hive could be located on one server with the MySQL database located on another server.

Why would you want to do this? Some web hosts like 1and1 limit MySQL databases to 100mb in size, so you could run Wordpress at 1&1 but use a MySQL database from another web hosting company.

The main benefits are to tie two sites together right? Have one user database? Right now I have two different websites for the foundation I work for, but the sites are hosted on two different servers (same web host).

It's not a huge loss if it doesn't work, just wondering if it was possible.

    Thanks for the responses.

Has this info changed at all since the 0.5 Beta launch?

I have domains spread out on 8 servers, and want to use One Hive to Rule Them All!

The benefit of WP Hive is that it uses a single set of files for multiple sites.Spreading it across multiple servers would defeat the purpose.

So, it's still not possible to run it on multiple servers (save the mysql distinction as aaronhall pointed out). It's not likely that this will change anytime soon.
