    Hello,

    I am confused about wp-hive.

    Here is what i need:

    1) I have a blog named domain.com with wordpress installed.
    2) I need to create subdomains like 1.domain.com , 2.domain.com, 3.domain.com.
    3) I want to use only one installation of wordpress.

    From the homepage i think this can be done with wp-hive : WP Hive is a WordPress Plugin that allows multiple Wordpress Blogs to use the same core files, plugins, and themes.

    My questions is :
    1) Do i need to install wordpress also in 1.domain.com or it will use the files of the wordpress domain.com instalation?

    I found a post for hive: Single Installation -> Single User -> Muliple Blogs .
    So single installation is the (domain.com) the single user is me ( admin ) and multiple blogs are the subdomains created (1.domain.com , 2.domain.com, etc.)?

    2)If i cant use one single wordpress installation and must install wordpress on all subdomains, i will install almost same plugins on every subdomain.
    WPhive will share the plugins of wordpress.com with my subdomains without the need to install the plugins on 1.domain.com for example ?

    There's one single installation of wordpress. Follow the installation instructions and you will have one instance of WP but totally separate blogs on the subdomains. The plugins and themes are shared across all the blogs, but each blog has the option of activating or deactivating what's there independently.

    BUT there is not (currently) a shared admin. You are the single user, but that single user is created separately for each independent blog. Across 4 blogs and 4 subdomains, you could potentially have 4 different admin passwords/identities. You must manually set those passwords to be the same, etc and log into them separately.
