I’m installing a sub directory blog on my website. The settings are:

    domain: foo.com

    sub directory: /foosub

    table prefix: foo_

The first time I clicked install, it downloaded Magento to my computer. I have NO clue what that was about, so after trying again with the same result, changed the name of the directory and tried again. Now I get the error message that install.php has a redirect loop (using Firefox and Chrome; IE just kept trying) that will not resolve. I tried deleting cookies, etc., but nothing works.

If it matters, I have single sign on in the add on folder. I deleted it and retried, but that made no difference.

    Any suggestions for me?

    I discovered a workaround. I installed in domain: foo.net. It’s working.

I’m hoping you’re entertained by my experiences.

I have no access to anything except my own profile and the dashboard on the second site. I can’t create posts, change the theme, or install plugins unless I turn off single sign on. Will have to see what happens.

I turned off single sign on, installed the theme I wanted to use, and started creating pages. Unfortunately, the pages don’t exist. Sigh.
