    I installed WP on domain1.com/blog/

In Wp-Hive, I updated the default domain with /blog subdirectory.

    Then I parked domain2.com to domain1.com

    In Wp-Hive, I set domain2.com with subdirectory /blog

    I can access both domain1.com/blog/ and domain2.com/blog/

I edited WP index.php with the /blog path and put it in domain1.com root.

But at domain1.com and domain2.com index, both shows "Unknown Host"

    I tried this method.

When I removed /blog from Wp-Hive Subdirectory field, I am able to access the domains at root.

But should I leave the subdirectory as none?

Because my WP is installed in domain1.com/blog/

My other domains are parked onto domain1.com and have their blog in the /blog/ folder.

    Please advise.

ummm... you set everything up in domain/blog and that works and then you just move the whole thing to domain/ ??

only editing index.php doesn't do any good, at least you will have to update everything in your database to make that work, and even then.. it's doubtfull if that will ever work

    Hello!

I just installed the WP Hive program on my new Wordpress blog and I went in and updated the subdir from / to /blog (where the WP was installed) and blew up my WP.

When I try to log in to http://blog.silkenonsex.com/wp-login.php I get "Unknown Host".

I've read the posts at http://wp-hive.com/forums/topic.php?id=140 and the solutions assume that I have the ability to log in to the WordPress admin page. I cannot. I am assuming I'll need to edit my database on the server side but I'm not sure where to look / what to edit (I"m a novice at this).

I would be grateful for any assistance you could render.

    Thank you!

Well, I regained access to the admin page by logging in via ssh and re-naming the wp-hive directories, which disabled it in the plugin section. I'd love to know what went wrong and how I can get this resolved so I can actually use wp-hive :)

I had a similar problem - installed Hive and broke eveything - had the "unknown host" disaster. I had to reinstall Wordpress, but renamed the subdirectory wordpress was in (eg /wordpress2). I thought that would give me a fresh start. Bad idea.
(Luckily I had backed up the original database, so was able to reload it, change the wordpress directory back to the original name and delete the Wp-hive folder. That restored my site back to its pre-hive state, and my pulse to normal levels. But now when I try to reinstall Hive to try again, things break again - there's a script somewhere looking for wordpress in the non-existent /wordpress2 directory.
Sorry - don't have a solution yet - just beware of this happening when you (hopefully) restore your site and try again!
