which is better for subdomains, change document root, or redirect?

    Greetings
    The installation procedures require that we use our "Webserver Administration (Cpanel, IIS, etc..) to point any domains you want to use in the hive to the Wordpress directory"

    Now, cpanel gives 2 options for doing this: change root directory of a subdomain, or redirect a subdomain to another folder.

    So, which is better regarding google's ranking and indexing etc.?

    With WP Hive, you must always set the root directory. A redirect will not work.
